Good Eggs Food Delivery Service Receives $50 Million Investment
By Natalie Daher
San Francisco-based food delivery service Good Eggs landed a $50 million investment from Benchmark venture firm and other existing investors, TechCrunch reports.
The funding marks a “turnaround” for Good Eggs, which delivers only in the Bay Area, Tech Crunch reports. Over the last few years, the company eliminated non-Bay Area delivery, had layoffs, hired a new CEO. The current menu includes grocery items and meal kits.
With the funding boost, the company is planning to offer more than 1,000 products as it's become people’s “primary food supplier,” CEO Bentley Hall told Tech Crunch. Products and meal kits are currently available for same-day delivery.
