DIY Cocktails and Restaurant-Quality Food with New Vitamix Blender
by Natalie Daher
A new Vitamix product hitting shelves in May is designed to “pulverize” more than fruits and vegetables, according to Digital Trends.
The Vitamix Aer Disc Container can whip, muddle, foam or emulsify foods to make cocktails, sauces and dressings. The blade differentiates from existing Vitamix products by interacting with air and essential oils to muddle ingredients, without “disrupting textures,” Digital Trends reports.
For at-home cocktails, the Aer Disc Container is a “lifesaver.” Forget your cocktail shaker; the Aer Disk serves chilled drinks without crushing ice. Home chefs can take on advanced blends such as creamy emulsions, light foams and stiff-peaked whip creams.
Vitamix users have been seeking a high-performance blender for other areas of meal preparation, according to a statement from Vice President Karen Haefling.
“With the Aer disc container, those users can create unique textures for anything from citrus juice for breakfast to chocolate mousse for dessert,” Haefling said. “The disc blade breaks down ingredients just enough so that drinks and dishes include wonderful pops of flavor.”
The new blender is a restaurant-quality product, sized at 48 ounces, made of BPA-free copolyester, and is dishwasher-safe.
