Are meal kits worth it?

Your mileage may vary! Depending on your schedule, food preferences, discipline, and dietary restrictions, a meal kit service can significantly improve your food planning routine. Services range in price, from roughly $10-$20 per serving.

What if I’m not home to receive my delivery?

Kits are shipped in a refrigerated and insulated delivery box that will keep ingredients fresh for around 12-24 hours after arrival. It is recommended to cook the meals as soon as possible upon receiving them.

How do I skip a delivery?

Most meal kit services offer no-commitment subscriptions with the option to skip or cancel orders at any time. Customers can log in to their account online or through a mobile app and select “Cancel,” so long as their order has not been processed yet and is within the designated cancellation timeframe.

How wasteful is meal kit packaging?

Meal kit services have received a lot of flak for their excessive use of delivery materials. In response, many companies now send ingredients in recyclable and/or biodegradable boxes and reusable containers. Terra’s Kitchen even uses a reusable climate-controlled “vessel.”
